"You can't take it with you," a saying often used when discussing our attachment to our earthly possessions.  And while that is very true, it doesn't mean that the objects and things we cherish are devoid of purpose in our lives.

We all have keepsakes, imbued with personal meanings and memories.  There is something attractive about keeping a tangible representation of a defining experience, or even a special person. 
 
We hope the work shown in this exhibit will not only highlight those precious and extraordinary objects in our lives but also to elevate the everyday things that we may overlook or under-appreciate.


On a related note, we will also be showcasing a wide range of functional and non-functional works of art by some local and national ceramicists.  Using clay straight from the earth to make their creations, one could say that they are putting a new spin on the phrase 'earthly possessions'...
